Prayerful Painting

On Tuesday, October 2nd, I had spent the morning sitting on Vilano Beach, praying, relaxing, swimming and reading.  That afternoon I moved to the pool deck for a lunch of hummus, crackers, and fruit.  I was still in a pasture of prayer as I pulled out my watercolors and prayer journal.  The image above is what emerged.  I am drawn to the vibrancy of colors, the madras effect of layered colors, and the prominent image of the braided cords of color that moves up the page.
